The robotic classes were extremely enriching with insights provided on streamlining the design process. The entire robot building process was taught in an easy-to-understand and in-depth manner right from brainstorming on the design to the CAD and then the parts and mechanisms. Each robot component and its use in the mechanisms was demonstrated thus bringing to life the physics studied at school. Invaluable insights were provided on making mechanisms faster, more efficient, and robust. The classes really deepened my love for robotics.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Decoding AI course. In it, we delved into the maths and programming required to build a strong foundation for understanding AI and ML, and eventually deep learning. The instructors were approachable and communicated, explained, and conducted the course delightfully. The course material was curated to be challenging while still within the reach of a high school student’s aptitude.

The course on CAD was taught extremely well covering all the fundamentals of design in a very lucid manner. The course is well structured, and the instructor has excellent knowledge of the subject. It starts with the basics of CAD in Fusion 360 and then explores various aspects of design.

This course is perfect for students who are willing to work hard to develop a fundamental understanding of AI. The course took us from implementing AI models using prewritten functions to truly understanding the workings of these technologies.

I found the sessions on probability and exploratory data analysis to be especially useful. Another great aspect of this course was that it pushed us to think through problems both analytically and programmatically, thereby cementing our practical and theoretical knowledge at the same time. Seeing all the concepts we had learned come together to produce a working AI model was truly rewarding.

I have been mentored by the founding team at TIS for the last 4 years starting from grade 8. The team provided me with a roadmap for my high-school years customised for me to gain cutting edge skills and work on projects considering my strengths and interests. This roadmap has proved to be a catalyst for my academic growth. To me TIS’s biggest strength is their ability to instinctively hone a person’s strengths and thereafter guide them to dig deeper. Their attention to detail together with their creative teaching methods allows a student to step out of their comfort zones and push themselves to their full potential. I learned a variety of technical skills, dived deep into programming, and participated in global robotics challenges. Getting an experience and exposure of that sort boosted my confidence, and deepened my curiosity and passion for this domain. The entire journey under their mentorship was packed with learnings, implementation, and experimentations which resulted in purposeful and impactful work. TIS’s mentorship has encouraged me to connect my interests across fields and to craft a story that is both unique and personal to me.
